NeuroNexus Probe Adapters

Hardware
Adapters that mate a probe package to acquisition hardware it was not terminated for, either by remapping pins between two connectors or by breaking one dense connector out into several standard ones.

Two jobs, not one

Remap — a connector-to-connector transition. The connector-pair adapter covers 19 input connectors against 28 outputs (A16/A32/A64, Omnetics 16/32/64, Samtec, ZIF, CQ4, Q4, BrainAmp and others in; Blackrock, Intan, Cerebus, AM Systems, BrainAmp and others out), with modifiers for 2×, 4×, breakout, female and MR-compatible builds. The practical question is never whether an adapter exists — it is which input/output pair you need.

Breakout — one dense connector split into several standard ones. The High-Density Matrix adapter takes uHDMI or Matrix-family inputs and fans them to four or eight Omnetics-32, to Cerebus, to a 128-channel datalogger, or to SmartHS.

The failure this part causes

Two connectors that mate are not two connectors that agree. A remap adapter deliberately changes which pin carries which channel — that is what it is for — so the probe's site-to-channel map does not survive the adapter unchanged. Nothing about the physical fit tells you this has happened. The recording looks fine; the channel order is different from the one in your analysis script.

Confirm the site-to-channel map through the adapter before the first real recording. It is a five-minute check against a known signal, and it is the single most common reason a chain that plugs together produces a map that does not match the probe drawing.
