NeuroNexus is a full-stack electrophysiology company that designs neural probes, instruments, and software engineered together — from the electrode to the answer. Founded in 2004 as a University of Michigan spin-out, it is based in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Its technology spans in vivo, in vitro, and clinical research, from organoids to patients.
NeuroNexus makes silicon and thin-film polymer neural probes, matched data-acquisition systems, and Radiens software for acquisition through analysis. The probe catalog spans 210+ designs and 2,000+ variants, from 4 to 1,024+ channels. Acquisition systems include XDAQ and SmartBox, and probes can be custom-built to a study's requirements.
Start from whatever is fixed first: browse electrodes by target, modality, or signal, or use the Product Finder to go from your requirements to a matched configuration. Solution Bundles pair probes, acquisition, and accessories that work together as a starting point you customize, and application scientists will help you equip the study end to end.
NeuroNexus probes and systems support in vivo, in vitro, and clinical electrophysiology. In vivo targets include cortex, deep brain, spinal cord, peripheral nerve, and cardiac; in vitro covers organoids and brain slice. They are used across species from fruit flies to non-human primates, in both acute and chronic studies.
Researchers choose NeuroNexus because its technology is cited in 5,000+ peer-reviewed publications and used in 1,000+ labs across six continents. Its probes, instruments, and software are engineered to work together as one system. Application scientists help equip each study, from probe selection to protocol.
Yes — NeuroNexus designs custom neural probes to a study's specification, including geometry, materials, and packaging. Custom designs are produced with in-house fabrication, so a probe fits the neural target rather than being chosen from a catalog alone. This suits unusual targets, chronic timelines, and multimodal (electrical, optical, chemical) needs.
Radiens is NeuroNexus's electrophysiology software for acquiring, analyzing, and curating neural data, with your data staying home. It reads many vendors' formats and scales from a single workstation upward. Radiens Standard is free, and Allego — its acquisition app — is free with every NeuroNexus system. Full details and a free download are at radiens.ai.
