A hybrid package that integrates a passive probe with a discrete digitizing headstage chip and terminating in standard connectors.
Activus is the NeuroNexus label for a hybrid package: the probe is passive and the active electronics are a discrete headstage chip integrated in the assembly. This fits probes with 1 to 16 shanks, shank lengths of 2 to 15 mm and 16 to 256 sites, every layout. Used for spike and field recording, on micro-HDMI or SPI Omnetics.
